It can be sprayed using a compressor and spray gun....at least hte leatherique that I'm familiar with can be. Requires thinning with water beforehand. I've gotten good results using a towel as well, just takes some care to avoid bubbles and ensure regular non-streaky coverage. Dries fairly quickly.

We redyed the leather on our 85 before we sold it 10 years ago. My dad and I were very dissatisfied with the results. It was because we didn't thin the dye enough prior to spraying it on. As a result, it started flaking off like overspray. ![EEK!](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Of course the one that we had used couldn't be diluted with water. I forgot what type of dye it was.
It'd be nice to hear from owners who dyed their seats one year from now and to see how the depth of color is and whether or not there is chipping. I wouldn't be afraid to try a waterbased dye though on my back seats since I have water damage on my driver side rear.
