That is a neat picture. Are you moving? It's sort of blurred, and I see snow and it looks like you're driving, and sort of sideways. 
Just catching the lightning is pretty neat, if it's all of the above, I'm really impressed with the shot.

I was on the way to SF in March and got caught in a huge hail/lightening storm south of Red Bluff. In that pick I am on the side of an on ramp, parked. The storm was intense. I was trying to get a pic of the lightening with my car and got lucky.

Some of the expensive digital cameras let you open the shutter. Its helps burn in the image for stuff like this. I have shot lightning many times, its fun to try and get a good one. Very hard though with just point and shoot cameras. Its alot like fishing for lightning.

Yes Jim it impressed me also, its a pity it is a bit blurry, I would have liked a full sized version for my desktop.

I think I was a bit aggressive pressing the button and jerked the camera.
