Hey everyone-
People keep on telling me how much they like the clean lines of the back on my 82 US OB (Non-S).
I agree. But that damn wiper arm kills the clean look for me. So recently I pulled the wiper arm off. But then the studs were ticking up in all their raw metal glory. **BARF**
So yesterday, I tried painting the stud to match the body color. Looked better, but not good enough. Someone had suggested using some screw caps from Home Depot. They don't quite fit.
So I'm going to use Sterling's approach (scroll 1/2 way down) and use the actual studs to plug the holes. Problem is that I'm not sure I want to make this a permanent "feature."
So, does anyone have a spare stud plate they'd be willing to donate for me to grind and hash up?
Thanks.

Sterling,
I was thinking of doing something very similar.
928 Int'l wants $52 fro one of those pivots. I was hoping I could find one for $5 or $10 (or free
). There's got to be someone parting a car. Anyone?

i pulled the shafts out of the plate and then used the plate to hold the grommets in the holes. then i covered the holes with rubber plugs and window sealant...

I was thinking about that method too, but since my car is for sale, I wanted to give the next owner the option of having the rear wiper. Hence my search for the other pivot.
