How much trouble is it to remove the clear plastic cover that goes over the guage cluster? I was hoping to install some stainless trim rings around the guages to update the look of the interior but I wasn't sure how much trouble it would be to remove it. Here is a pic of the trim rings. Has anyone used these before? If so how much trouble are they and are you pleased with the results?

I also was looking at some of those "halo" type guage replacements. They are some sort of flexible overlay that glows. You can illuminate it in a positive or negative way. They look very cool on the pictures but I am skepticle(sp). I cannot find a pic of these right now but I will post one when I find it. Anyone try these yet?

Removal of the instrument cluster takes about 1 hour the first time - 15 minutes for each time after.
Reinstallation is on about the same schedule.
