Preferably vinyl.
I have recovered a few of these and they usually look pretty nice, as I made pattern on the first go round, but its a lot of work. I thought I might ask here first. Seems like I remember seeing these for $800 recovered in leather ??

Actually that is how i have done mine in the past. Just seams on the sides but I did leave the vents intact. that might be a revovered vinyl dash, and in that case it has no plastic vent tops to cap the holes

How do I know it's leather, because I recovered it. It was hard because to get leather perfect is very hard. I don't think it's ever been do before, it's a one piece leather unit, not multiple sections. The result, it looks factory perfect. I like stitching, but on ALL aftermarket dashes that I've see them in, they ALL look aftermarket....
This one is flawless....

I doubt it has been done in one piece. Its hard enough with seams on the ends, much less one piece. How did you stretch it over the ends. Obviously you used a heat gun, but it still mush have been extremely difficult at the corners.

Rob would know! He made some excellent leather dash recovery pieces a while back.
By the way, nice avatar, Rob. I imaging there is a good story behind it . . .
