Brian,

I just saw your Q. Yes, Amazon Green. I love the color. The paint is not nearly as clean as it was when I acquired the car about 3 years ago. As a daily driver in South Florida, the front bumber cover has been sand blasted by the idiots with $hit constantly spilling off of their trucks. That plus the inconsiderate parking lotters who will go out of their way to find the people who go out of their way to avoid parking lot dings, in order to give them dings.

Can anyone follow that last sentence?

I hear you. These are the people that drive to the outskirts of the parking lot to park 2" from your door when every other space is empty for 300 yards.

If it helps I just tried Mcguires swirl remover. It is the most amazing stuff and it brings the luster right back to Amazon Green. Best product i ever used by far.

I followed that last sentence precisely. I concur. It must be Karmic punishment for some sinful past life or something like that, because no one but a total idiot would park where I park usually. But they still manage to gravitate about 1" from my door and that's when I am thankful for my bang strips. Rest assured their transgressions don't go unpunished. That's all I will say about that subject.

I have tried 3M swirl remover on advice of the Rejex distributor who advised it has no silicone in it. I liked it. Finished it off with 3M Hand Glaze for a squeaky clean finish and then Rejex. I am in the same position: my car looked good 3 years ago when I first got it; now it is a 5 footer rapidly becoming a 10 footer. If and when I repaint it, a 3M clear bra will be the first thing installed to stop all the chips and bug splatter which has seemed to etch its way into the finish.

nicole, yes it says S4 on the back and underneath that is written "sport" in a different text thats harder to make out, and i need to update my sig cause its definitely an SE rather than the LHD CS. the sunroof panel is a carbon item that i got from tom f (big bird driver), the sunroof mechanism in removed entirely.

as for the 19" rims they do make the ride harsher. i had ordered some coilovers from 928 motorsports to install with 550 lb on the front along with bilsteins, but after adding the 19" rims im going to run eibachs instead for their softer initial springing (the 550 lb coils will go on the orange car). wider rubber is definitely the way to go with the 928 and a lower profile certainly sharpens steering feel with imediate turn in on the 19" even more so than 18". i find myself avoiding bumps in the road more actively than before, but at highway speeds it seems less of an issue. i almost dont need to increase the spring rate now with these wheels and tyres and i might be better off not to, eliminating any bodyroll with a stiffer antiroll bar...

I have 17" Twists and I'm driving like a drunkin hobo zigzaging all over the place...The roads are so bad here in the province of Quebec, it's unreal.

GlenL,

Is that Tobacco Brown? My 79 SC was that color and it was great, one of my favorite Porsche colors. Looks Good

Cobalt,

Thanks!

It was Tabac Metalic originally but that's a GM metallic now. When I re-painted the car that was what matched.
