Please help me identify this item
I've been trying to figure out what this item is. I also found one in my 911. Can someone please tell me what this is? Thanks.

Yoe! Vinny,
Do yourself a favor if that terminal cover is for the sHARk.
Use it!
A lot of us have a habit of squirreling things away /out of sight.
Those things tend to end up around the spare tire, sometimes under the spare tire.
Even towels / cleaning rags will eventually compress the battery cover door onto the terminal.
Which means you are now grounding to the chassis (body ground) right at the source of all your stored energy. Dead Batt., or worse if you have gas build up and the batt. arcs.

While you replace this item on the battery, it's a good time to check your ground connections between battery and the body. I've seen some oxidation there in the past.
