Question + 928 hornpad desing +

My 84 as the 928 in a stylised S on the horn pad. Most I see on pics here are writen porsche. Is mine an option or something?

IIRC the Porsche horn pad came out in '85? or I know for sure '86.

Wheel was originally 928 S specific item. When it was taken in use in many other models also it was easier to change text than have different pad for each model.

Yes, my Euro S has the same. I don't think my horn pad is covered with leather though.
