Hi all,
I was thinking the other day of creating a 928 screensaver. It would simply rotate 928 pictures, with owner captions underneath (such as owner name, location and model/year of car, etc). Would any of you be interested in this? It would be free, of course. My thoughts would be to ask each Rennlist member to send me their "one" favorite image of their 928 along with the caption/details.
I could make it so that you could add more of your own images so that they are cycled with the included ones - if that's something everyone would want. This way, I could just create one of these once-a-year.
What are your thoughts?

 

Our compatriots across the pond have already done this. Actually x3 - one of the newer models, one of the older models, and a combined (all).

What kind of time frame do we have to get you a GOOD picture?

Jason - I set this poll to close in three weeks. I thought that would be long enough to give everyone a chance to see this and reply. To better answer your question - it really depends upon the votes. If I get enough interest, I'll probably give two deadlines for pictures - the first in late August and then in late September. It won't take me long to create the screensaver, I just want to give members ample time to send me their favorite picture. These are just my initial thoughts as I type this reply.

Great Idea..... I already have use of a 928 screen saver. Windows XP has a screen saver feature that allows to use your own folder of pics. Of my variety of photo folders with about 10k various car pics, I have a specific 928 folder that's up to about 2,000 pics, from ones I taken to any & all here on the web that are good shots. Makes for a great screen saver too....never gets old either, always great Sharks to look at all day long! And on the occasion that I might want to view something other than 928's, I can change it to show other car pics or whatever else I set it to view.
