Does anyone have a template of some sort that I could use for re-doing my dash, pod and glove box door? I want to re-do them in leather and not just use a cover that sits on top. I am going to take the dash, pod and glove box door out of the car, strip them down and recover them with leather. Has anyone done this before? Thanks in advance.

Try Champange a fellow, perhaps ex-patriot, Canadian now living in Texas.
Although he was doing things with ostrich hides that are better left unsaid he and his wife are
good people. And since Paul was, alledgedly, doing ALL of the work -wife chimes in here- I believe he said he had templates for some if not all of the work.
Good luck.

Hey John, thank you for the "good people" line. I will let the "ostrich hides that are better left unsaid" comment go by until you see it by yourself

928fan4life: I'm afraid that what I'm doing will be of little use to you since I'm basically re-designing the interior. I'm not at the dash phase yet but by the picture of the door panel below, you should get an idea. My dash and glove box will continue the theme of the door panel, so I will end up far from the original:

But if I can offer an help or insight, feel free to ask.

Hey Paul - Those door panels look really good! I bet that took forever to do. have you done the rear quarter panels yet? I will be recovering my rear quarter panels as well as the dash, pod and glove box. If you have a template for the rear quarter panels that would be cool. Also, If you get the dash and pod and glovebox done if you could post some pics of it that would be interesting to see.

Not trying to hijack, but Paul, do you have your interior completed? If so, any photos to share? I'm still in awe over your craftsmanship; it looks awesome! ![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)

928fan: I will eventually do the back also. I'm about to complete the dash right now. When I do get to the quarter panels, I will make a template that will pretty much follow the original and you will be welcome to it.
David: thank you for your kind words. I'm about half way done: both door panels, pod and center console are done. I will be tackling the dash next. Headliner and quarter panels will come after that. I will post more pictures as I go along.
Randy: Linda and I would love to go see you guys again this year. The last time we joined you guys, the trip totalled more than 5000 miles of pure enjoyment.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure that time will permit this year.
In the mean time, I will join our "cod kisser" friend Ernest and the rest of the Lone Star gang on the 3rd Coast party

Man that shark Paul has better be on rennlist main page for a few weeks, not to mention 928 of the month thread and a few magazines. That is wicked!!!
I wonder my many ostrichs took one of the team. I seen a vector (pics) that had ostrich too. Weird stuff.

I have a set in brown for the dash, centre console and glovebox. Brand new, it's the discontinued leather that looks exactly like factory. Btw forget about the pod. Seriously. Too difficult. Price is $700.

Paul,
The reference was similar to my comments on sheepskins, spawned of my ,typically, mind in the gutter (where it happily resides) humor.
The work you have done is thoughtfully planned, magnificently detailed, and a true work of art .
Golf clap, sip of wine, commendations ....
Personally, I've given up on using the Armadillo pelts for my interior project and am hanging around the City Dog Pound in search of a more suitable hide.
Hope to see you at the 3rd Coast
