I have around 40 emailed photos sent to me. I wanted to confirm that the paint was all the same color wise on the rear of car. The picture on ebay made that one of my first questions. Color from front to rear is all the same per additiona email photos.

When I get car I will post some photos or have my wife show me how to post some of the emailed photos I received.

The seller was so particular that he refuesed to send car in open carrier. Having it shipped in a closed trailer. Even paying for 1/2 the shipping cost.

As far as price. Nothing to hide. Probably paid more that I should have. However, my price range was 15-18k. Lets just say I have no change left over on this deal. I hit my price range at 100%.

After reading the board the general rule of thumb was to get the best and cleanest car you could for your money. In other words a very clean old S car instead of a run down S4. So, I wanted a GT and was out of my range so I bought what I thought was the best S4 I could with the money I had and the time frame I was working within.

I am certain I will have a ton of questions once I get the car. Thanks for the kinds words.

Welcome to the Shark Tank. Nice looking car. I love those wheels. I was wondering about the painted bumperettes as well. Any info?

It must be the way the picture was shot. Recd many emails from all angles and it shows same color from front to back.

The car was so clean and came with such great records that I would have bought it even with the bumper a slight shade off.

Not for sure but the person who sold me this car said that it was a runner up at best of show for 928 International last year in 2004. Said several people wanted to buy the car and he got first dibs on it.

Will update everone more when I get the car.

Thanks,

Zero,

That was Fred Quintana's car and sold it to the guy you just bought it from. He lived up the road from Marc White in KS. I believe. He did all the upgrades to that car and it won an award at the 2004 928 OCIC last year as well. That car is a 100% clean *** car!!!! the guy you got it from paid $18,500 or something like that. So he drove it for a year (probably only a few miles!) and got out of it what he had in it pretty much. You are getting one of the nicest 928s I have ever seen (GTSs included!!!)

I think that car sold in 1 day last year. How do I know this? I tried to buy that car last year. I was 1 day and $18,500 short! Great by partner, welcome to the cult!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info Chuck. I had no idea about the history on this car. Glad to know that when I get it next week it will be as clean as the pictures. Hate to ask, what is OCiC? You said the car won an award. New to the boards. Not certain what that means.

Thanks,

Zero,

The OCIC was the 928 (Ownner's Club International Convention). You will dig that car!!!
