Default Repainting

Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on repainting a 928. Do you repaint back to the original color? If you don't like the original color and change it does it affect the value of it? I don't have a 928 yet but have been looking and have not found the right color. I would like to restore to the original minus the paint color and I was curious what everyone thought.

mine is getting a new paint on friday - original color is metalgreen, previous owner painted it black - I was going to paint it 662 (quartz grey) but the paint is acryl + clear cote witch is difficult to repair if paint should enterfear with the original paint/cote. it will be dark blue now, no metal color. I don't think the value will change due to color (unless it's a totally crazy color, eventhough an original "crazy" color would be ok), but how the paintjob is done is more important.....

to properly do a color change the car must be disassembled.. including interior
a MAJOR undertaking and can be very expensive if you're not willing to do the dis/re assembly yourself

most of the standard colors are fairly available, why not just taking your time and finding one in the proper color/condition vs changing one?
