Was curious if anyone has removed the HVAC fan and then successfully rebuilt the unit? Also, while in there I have the resistor pack in hand, I've cleaned it and will adjust the coils up per JPs site; any other input?
Require more air flow this summer............thx folks

Malcom- When my fan failed two years ago, I took it apart and it was TERMINAL. The bearing at the bottom had simply ground itself apart, so I bought a new used one. You can try to rebuild this thing...but I don't how successful you're going to be. Go for it.

Norm.........I believe my fan bearings are also terminal but want to take it apart and see. How did you get the squirrel cage off the motor; is it just pressed on?
