Question 89 S4 Firewall penetration point???

I am attempting to run a wire for my radar detector through the fire wall. It there any place easier to penetrate the fire wall than on the passenger side by the LH Computer and fuse panel. Is there anything perhaps on the drivers side where I can drill a hole and push a wire through?

How about where all the vacuum lines enter the cabin on the driver's side?

Under the dead pedal there is a very nice spot to bring a wire through.

The dead pedal is the fake pedal surface that you rest your left foot on when it's not on the clutch for shifting.

'Nutz...........there are a few places; where the vaccum feed line runs into the cabin or the throttle cable aperture. Look around the vac booster area.

I used the stock harness feedthru in the passenger footwell for my SR1. I just had to cut a small hole in the rubber boot after sticking my mechanic's grabber through from the inside. Watched for the buldge and nicked it with an xacto knife, then pulled the wire back through. Very Very tight fit, but no extra holes!

Thanks guys. I got the cable through the area behind the dead pedal. Much appreciated...yep a new detector not a great one but Louie gave it to me so I figure install it until I get my new SR7. Its a K40 SS3000SW with front and rear monitoring and indicators.
