Question Plug size for O2 sensor hole?

I'm installing a cat-bypass pipe and need to know the correct size for a plug as well as the thread size to install in the O2 sensor hole. This is going in the 1979 928, so no need for a sensor. I thought I had an old O2 sensor to use, but I can't seem to find it. If I can't find a plug, does anyone know what generic O2 sensor will fit?

Thanks, Rich

The thread is M18x1.5 - any sensor will fit: a single wire generic will work, and help fuel economy. eg. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...983197612&rd=1

If you don't have an old O2 sensor or M18 bolt, a spark plug for a 54 to 63 Ford Y block 272, 292 or 312 will work. Should be cheaper than buying a new O2 sensor.

Any exhaust shop should have a whole box of plugs (and often all over the floor). They come with aftermarket cats.

Thanks guys, I ended up with a Bosch 1 wire O2 sensor which fit just fine. I expected the car to be a-lot louder, but it really isn't too bad...(Cat by-pass pipe into Borla exhaust).
