Default Ruined New Window Tint

I had my windows tinted recently and now have two vertical scratches on both front windows and same location on both sides. I suspect either the "Window lifter stops" or the "Felt Window Guides". Has anyone expirienced this same problem?

Yep - these felt guides not only wear, they also love to collect dust and sand, which does a nice job in scratching the tint. THe only way to avoid this is to get new, clean felt guides and keep them that way. Or live wth the scratches. Or replace the tint every year...

I wish I had a better answer for you!

Dave, had the same thing happen to my GT. Within a week the new tint was scratched by the felt guides. Have since recovered the guides with new felt, but haven't re-tinted the windows, yet. For the cost, it's easier/cheaper to just recover them yourself. I got a sheet of felt from Wal-Mart for about 88 cents. Versus $25.00 each for new ones.

Someone here (Tarek? maybe) covered their felt guids with mole skin bandaids. Do a seach for mole skin and you should find it. Don't know how well it's working, just thouht I'd offer it as a possible solution.

Any suggestions on how to catch a mole?

First, one contacts the world famous mole hunting guide, Dr. Scholl.
