Mike,

I don't think you have a choice with an auto. With a 5spd, you could probably leave it in 5th and block the wheels. I would try to borrow one locally. If you can't find one locally to borrow, I'll ship you mine.

The one I have is a loan from Eric Dvorak, but you can borrow it if you need to

I was thinking of a homemade flywheel lock. How about a wedge made of lead?-Horrors!

I heard fortune cookies are good for flywheel locks. As an bonus the predict whether your car will run or not after you remove them!

What's the rush? Take your time to do it right. (especially since you have an auto. If it were a 5-speed I would have also told you to put it in 5th gear.)

But seeing that you're in a rush, I guess this is what I'd do:
1. Put the car back in the garage if currently out.
2. Drink a beer.
3. Put the tools away.
4. Drink a beer.
5. Send TAREK or Heinrich a PM asking them for use of their flywheel lock.
6. Drink a beer.
7. Waste 2-3 hours reading rennlist while...
8. Drinking a beer.

By then you'll have forgotten all about it and it won't matter. So drink up!
