Hatch Wiper Connection Question
I was wondering if anyone has a photo of the top half of the rear hatch, where the wiper mates with the receptor at the bottom when the hatch closes. I can see that there is white plastic on the inside of the element, but mine seems to be worn down. I was wondering if that typically extends beyond the metal part of the top pin.
If so, what's a good replacement for that element?

do you happen to have a camera to take a photo of the final fix? is there a part? I'm having that same issue with the wiper and would love to have it working again.

Will post a picture in the morning, but the one from my donar car had the nylon about 1mm proud of the metal stud. So I am not sure what it would be like brand new.

remember we have lots of photos of lots of parts since we inventory most items . The bit of plastic protrudes a small amount to keep from having metal hit metal when you close the lid and allow the post to slide easier until it lines up with the hole on the body mounted "console" . Typically what happens is the hole on the console gets worn so it is more funnel like no longer has a 90 degree corner and the spring loaded lower part gets pushed down and the wiper arm no longer moves. The upper pin also can get some taper and the plate moves away from the pin.
