HK, I own a 911, and have had at least one in the home for at least 37 years. As I recall, they also suffer chain tensioners that need upgrade; head studs that break; engines that need rebuild around 100k miles; suspension that needs the same; 915 gearboxes that need the same and even then shift notchily. I know for my 911 (and my dad's) IMHO the items they have needed when kept immaculately as opposed to a 928, have been mammoth. A well-kept 928 will need very little, and I can think of not one retrograde the factory ever made mandatory.

Hi.
In a matter of 25 seconds after starting the Car with the Air intake Tubes off, some smoke is seen coming out of the Cam gear Rotor vent holes. There is also a high pitched whine along with that! I can imagine here that it is the back of the Timing Belt rubbing on a 'seized' pully of the water pump.

I require 2 more start ups.
1) To Drive up onto a Trailer.= Approximately 1 minute.
2) Drive off the Trailer into a Garage.= Approximately 1minute, 30 seconds.

*******Important*********
If I coat the back of the Timing Belt with grease or oil through the vent holes, I feel this will give me some security, allowing me to be able to 'Move the car to the Garage without causing too much stress on me and the Timing Belt. Is there anything 'strange that could happen if I do this?

Use a comealong to get it on the trailer and just push it off.

You'd be a brave man, use a com'along or whatever it is called to get it on the trailer ... find someone to give you a hand to get push it off the other end ... its just not worth it.

If it slips on the cam gears as a result of the grease ... buh-bye valves. Clearly your waterpump has seized.

We had Mundare kubasa and pyrogies and saurkraut for supper tonight! We are ready to load that thing right this moment!

One match and I could have it on the roof of his house!
