Talking (UPDATE) 928 International to the rescue!!

I get pulled to run this emergency project at work that has absorbed my entire life for the last 2-3 months. Meanwhile Der Yeti sits pationatly, untouched, waiting for my attention. I am getting SO close to finishing my auto to manual conversion I can taste it.

So, I carve out Father's Day weekend as MINE! No work! Only, me and Der Yeti. With luck I might be able to finish her off!

As I am checking over my parts and tools for the weekend I notice a fine, hairline crack in the flywheel I am about to install. Damn it! It runs vertically across the full face of the flywheel. Double Damn it! (Visions of the flywheel turning to shrapnel at 6,800 RPMs run through my head) My fathers day weekend, finishing my baby, seems dashed!

928 INTERNATIONAL TO THE RESCUE!!! I call Jim (4:15 pm PST Thursday) and explain the situation. Jim says they have two in stock. Jim and Mark look over their stock and determine one of the FWs needs to be surfaced and the other is fine to install as is. I have already missed both shipping options pick up for the day, so Jim packages the FW and sends one of the shop folks to the Fed Ex facility to make sure I have my FW tomorrow. FATHERS DAY SAVED!!

Just another of hundreds of similar stories from our 928 suppliers. We are SO lucky to have such dedicated and supportive resources for these cars we are all so passionate about. Never take them for granted and support them every chance we get!

Default NOW I AM JUST BLOWN AWAY!!

Doorbell rings at exactly 10:30am Friday morning. It's Fed Ex with my flywheel!!

Now get this.....I have no more than walked back in the house and started looking for a scissors to open the box, when Jim calls me and asks if the flywheel is OK and will work for me!! I laughed and told him what a coincidence, the Fed Ex guy had JUST come a minute or two ago. Jim says, "no coincidence. I was watching the delivery status online and saw it had just been delivered."

This kind of service only comes from people/organizations that are proud and passionate about what they do....something that is sorely missing in most businesses and industries in America today.

Thanks Jim, Mark and the whole crew at 928 Int. I am blown away! After a very long hibernation and thanks to your help, the beast just might be back on the track shortly!

You didn't answer the question... Will it work for you? It's no godd if you can't use. But my bet is that it's fine. Jim is an awesome dude!

Thanks for the nice comments we really do try very hard to treat people the way we would like to be treated. I order various parts and things and know what it is like when you are waiting for something to be sent to you. Especially when I postpone ordering it until I really, really need it FAST Like the extra track tires I neglected to order this week.
