Default boss (steering wheel adaptor)

Hi , i 'm colin i own a 1988 baltic blue 5.0 928s4 auto beast,
i'm after fitting an aftermarket sterring wheel (mountney wheel)
and wondered if anyone knew if there is a boss from another vehicle
that would fit, as opposed to buyuing a porsche one,
got 150mph out of it the other morning going to work, really goes now after i had the mass air flowmeter sorted out.

Slow down your typing, you can probably find an adaptor on ebay. Mountrey? Is that the name of the wheel? What's it look like.

Welcome, Colin!

Most folks use the standard MOMO steering wheel adaptor. Any reason why it won't work with yours?

AFAIK, all MOMO bosses are the same price, ~$60: Go to their werb site and check the application part numbers for car X vs. a 928 if you wish; however, the shaft diameter and number of splines vary considerably, as does the offset distance. No idea if MOMO fits your wheel, but at least it will indicate hub data.
As far as the wheel fit, the MOMO bolt circle data is there - many others use a similar standard diameter, 6 bolt pattern.

audi 80 boss, will fit a 944 ,which will be considerably cheaper than a porsche boss, so i wondered if i could get one from another car with the same fitting boss as our super cars .

It's the horn loop/connection that really comes into it I think, the S4 boss being different to an S2 or so the guy at Halford said.
