Default Why must I like the Shark

I just finished building the new engine for my 924s project. Next I will start sanding the body and get her ready for paint. And now I am thinking of parting it out and buying a Shark.. Talk me out of it. I already had someone offer me 3k for the body. (Full GT-Racing Fiberglass kit already installed)

I think you're in the wrong place for someone to talk you out of a Shark.

Helstrm ... don't do it. If you do, you'll have twice the displacement, and you'll go from a Porsche that has some non-Porsche heritage to one with full Porsche blood head-to-toe. You'd also move to a platform that could give you the option to cheaply supercharge or turbocharge with enough torque to outrun most new hotrods today. Not to mention the beauty of a 928 that's been cared-for.

Don't do it, stay with the 924.

I was a perfectly normal person before I bought the 928. After that the rest is history.

What other car could you possibly buy and then NEVER want to sell?

If anything about 924 ownership seems expensive to you, the 928 is the wrong place to be.

10 years ago I bought for the timeless styling and nice power. I still consider my '86 modern. I still consider other's well cared for 77 & 78's drivable things of beauty.

Also, they are fairly rare, as you don't see many of these on the road.

These cars are something special in many ways.

Oh, 928, how do you tempt me? let me count the ways... 925, 926, 927...

Dude, if you've got the bug, you've got the bug.

I would not be flying blind, My best friend already has one and I have already been through the front end service with him.

I have always loved them so the decision pretty much falls on how much I could get selling off the 24 vs buying a 928.. Or I finish the 24 and enjoy her for a while and then sell it and buy a 928... Either way I have always loved the Sharks and will sooner or later get one.. The question is when not if.
