For what you are spending on the 924 you could have a V-8!!!! I cant imagine this is a difficult decision.

I parked my 928 outside of a video store this evening. When I was checking out at the counter, I noticed a nice shiney bmw m3 with big fat wheels parked out in the lot. For a very split second, I noticed a unique and cool looking sports car parked next to it and when I switched my eyes from the bmw I realized that cool sports car was mine. All of the sudden, the look and lines of the bmw didn't appeal to me anymore. It was the wheels and the paint job that caught my attention. It was the shape and the lines of my own car that quickly took my attention away. It was an awesome moment; like I had never seen a 928 before. The 928 will always be on a plain of it's own.

I had almost the same moment Friday night at the video store except the car in the lot was a new Aston Martin. I like mine but DAMN that car is beautiful!!!

Don't do it, stay with the 924.

I have 2 928s and a 944S The S is a nice ride and harder to part with than I thought. Both my 80 US spec. and the 89 928s are rockets compared to the 944. 928s will spoil you, no doubt about it. I won't talk you out of it, jeese, buy the 928 and keep the 4 - but finish what you start ! Too many projects lead to schitzophrenia, what to do, what to do? Sooo, finish your project or get a good 928 runner [ha]. So many cars, so little garage space. Remember, the best porsche is the one YOU get to drive. The feeling you will get from finishing you project is priceless. It makes up for the pain and sweat invested.

Well I turned down the offer on my 924, (Because he wanted everything for 3k) I could sell the rims and engine for that. But if the right offer comes along I would sell it to buy the Shark... Otherwise I will complete the project.

Clip saved to .GIF with WinDVD, and edited with ImageReady to get down under 300K.

928 ownership is cyclical. That is to say, you have to own at least two so you can have one to drive while the other is down for maintenance!

I'm on about a two year cycle myself. The track car is in progress (slowly) and should be sorted and racing by the time the street car goes in for cosmetic upgrades (paint, interior, stereo, etc). Life will be truly grand when I can have them both at the same time...it's every man's dream isn't it?

I would keep the 924...drive it for a while then buy a 928 to go with it....keep the 924 for track days & use the 928 for everything else....the 924 should be cheaper to track vs the 928 but once you drive a 928 (in comparison to a 924) you will only want to drive the 928....sure the 924-944's are good cars...but remember the 928 was the top of the line in its day...the best Porsche could offer....accept nothing less!
