Default Electric Fan Blown Fuse (Help)

Well, I finally mounted the electric to replace the clutch fan and wired it from the battery jump lead with an in-line 20AMP fuse to a thermo-switch. My first test drive back to the house and the fuse blew

Any electricians out there?? I checked the fuse for the aux fan and it's a 25AMP. Any problem installing a 25 to see what happens?

I'm getting ready for the my road trip this Friday and I definitely don't want any electrical or overheating problems!

The twin S4 fans each are protected by a 30 amp, as are the seat motors, fresh air (HVAC) fan, ... so 30 amps is the norm - provided the wire gauge is large enough.

Thanks Garth, I used the 20 AMP because it came with the fan but I'll try the 25. Any ideas what may have caused the 20 to blow. If the 25 won't handle it should I go with the 30??

I spoke to Tom at 928 Int and he runs 30's for his 2 fans. I'll go with 25's and see what happens.
