Hey Tarek! Wish I were there with you guys! Just remember, if you car breaks down it's a long way out to Arizona to stay with us while it is being fixed ....but of course your ALWAYS welcome! Whichever car you take, you've GOT to put the roof rack on her!!

Drift a corner on the drive for me and give a shout to all the Old School SITM crew. I'll be thinking of you all and wishing I were there.

Hey Scott! It's a shame you won't be there with us. We'll miss you amongst the Old School SITM Crew! Will think of you at every one handed drift and tailgate

I really hope no breakdowns this time...but we'll see. High Performance roof rack is lubed and ready to go, but I may have to give a chance to one of those big things they call wings for this trip

...you better go next year...don't let the car be a problem... you could fly down to Clearwater Beach and drive one of my cars

Actually the rain is affecting my choice of cars to drive..ughhh
Not sure of the time. Ideally leave by 5:00 am from Clearwater Beach. Either route is ok by me. I still have to do work on the cars tonight AND I've been lacking sleep, so I don't know about my ability to leave at 5:00 am but it remains the goal

Now may be this should go in a separate thread, but can anyone advise me if it's ok to drive on tires that have been sitting a while? They are shaking like hell after the car sat for a year. Would the flat deformation and hence vibration be gone eventually? How about a few burnouts?

Try overinflating 'em - say up to 50 pounds - and drive a bit to heat them up.

Make sure to reduce the pressure afterwards!

Should be OK as long as they're not showing dryrot cracks. One thing you can do to help get rid of the flat spots is to overinflate them a bit (carefully).

Thanks. I'm doing that conservatively at 40 psi. Will see how that does. No shortage of roads to up the pressure a bit if needed
