Default Windows Just tinted

A few days ago someone posted about not being quoted to have their shark 's windows tinted. Well, I just picked mine up from the detail shop and WOW. I really like how she looks now. I have to say the the shop that did mine did a first class job - although I expected as much when I pulled into their establishment and saw two Ferrari's several Porsche's a Maserati and Bentley. The whole thing including tax came to $285. .

Please post a pic for us all to see?? $285... is that the norm for your area for a top notch tint job? A few months back I paid $170 at the shop that does the local dealers of Porsche, Mercedes, Jag, & BMW and they did a great job on my Shark. Seems I've read other post that they paid similar $$ in other parts of the US... just wondering why the extra $100...maybe they are used to those rich customers payin for those Ferraris? Course if it took that price to get a great tint job & you are happy with it I guess it was worth it. Nothing worse than a lousy tint job, especially on a car as nice as a 928!

Mel, I know I could have had it done cheaper - but I didn't think it was worth it. I didn't want to have any problems later with he tinting and they were doing similar work to those other cars. Maybe we see a higher inflation rate here in the NY area. I need a nice sunny day and I'll snap a few photos.

Hey I just picked mine up yesterday too! They shop suggested 35% but it was way too light! I went with 20% all around. I kinda wish I would have gone one shade darker, but I think I'll live. Here are soem pics I took this morning.

Nice Andrew,

I used the 20% for the rear and I think 30% for the driver and pass. windows. The guys told me that anything darker than 20% would be like Limo's and might be too dark for driving.

Andrew - the tint goes on the car windows, not the camera lens!

Andrew, the new mirrors makes such a big improvement to the look of your car.
And combined with the tinting and the cupwheels it looks great

Cheers/Peter

Doug - I though about going darker on the rear, but the tinter said he thinks it looks funny. I guess I believed him.

Funny Randy! I'll remember that the next time...

Thanks for the compliments Peter. I plan on taking TONS of picture while at SITM. May even come back with a new avatar. I love the new mirris too. I'm really happy the way they turned out. Hard to believe this car is 23 years old!
