I have to ask, where are the WSM's available at that price? Dealers?

Will,
Not sure about $199 but there are two recent threads mentioning that all of the big 3 have the manuals in stock for something like $219, plus shipping of course. Maybe the $199 was a special for Sharks in the Mountains which would have been a great deal since you'd also save shipping these heavy books.

AFAIK $199 was SITM special 'carry them yourself out of the door' price and Devek will have similar deal at their meeting.

I ordered the DVD from this guy. I can't wait until it gets here! With all the features on it, it will be the best yet. Project 928 is sure to be interesting.

The DVD has a pretty low-resolution copy of Projekt 928 in English on it. I was disappointed that he had gone to the trouble of scanning the book and not done so at high resolution.

AND

The rest of the content is as far as I can see Jim Morehouse's work.

Current normal prices reported for the Genuine Porsche Factory Workshop Manuals:

928 International - $229
Devek - $219
928 Specialists - $215

Close enough that the shipping cost and your relationship with the vendor are probably more important than the difference...

A reminder - we all feel that this may well be the last time that the manuals are offered by Porsche, and when they are gone - they are gone for good!

I bought the DVD on Ebay last week and today I received this email from Ebay (UK).

"The following listing:

eBay that the listing potentially infringes ist copyright, trademark or

I got mine too from this guy. Works good and the book, project 928 is scanned well enough so I could see everything. Great videos, espeically the holbert car run! Its the encyclopedia of all 928 information, but no longer legal on ebay.

There is a simple solution. Jim should distribute copies of the ripped-off copies of the material that the eBayer ripped off. Hopefully we are nearly to the point of market saturation...

Guys,
Its been, gone & returned a few times on ebay since the original postings....

I suspect it will be back again. I got a copy - lots of content - good enough - not as good as some of Jim's stuff. yet another place to go .... At least I got to read Project 928 - at the current rate I won't be owning a hard copy any time soon...
