The plastic ties with the fans will work, but a fab'd up frame would work better in the long run. It would keep it isolated from the surface of the radiator. I think were running out of time..Darriens on the road in a few days and i have to work. In a pinch, just use the ties and we can come up with a better solution when you get back.

Let's see the fan you are installing. If you are going to supercharge in the future then that will affect the fan you install and where. If it was a twinscrew then the fan placement wouldn't really matter. For a centrifugal then you would need a pusher fan or four small ones to leave room for the supercharger.

I mounted the Spal fan I got from Andy within the stock fan shroud, by using some thin strips of metal conviently found in my wifes' wood shop. I set them up to fit in the stock bolt locations for our fan shroud and then bolted the fan to those.
