... and is it factory glass, or aftermarket?

Hah!
You got lucky Shane. My windscreen (Yes, that's what it's known as in the 'other' colonies) took a hit last month leaving a crack in one of the inner laminations. Amazingly, the exterior and interior surfaces of the screen are intact. An external crack could have been repaired but not this. The blemish is too small to justify the expense of replacing the screen but too big to look-away-and-ignore.
"Vasbyt" we say here. Bite tight. Grin and bear it.

Wanta know how much damage a piece of sand will do to a windshield when you're going 165mph? Ask Shane. He has pictures.

Shane,

What a great garage! You have room for more 928s!!!!! If you drive around in your garage, you won't even need a windscreen/windshield or even a parachute brake for your twin screw. Fortunate man. I had to buy one of those metal carports to extend my garage...10x20 and it's full...not sure what to do next since the wife wastes space in there with her ricer.

If you find a source for windscreens with a built-in antenna, please post since many of the rest of us will be following your example. Hope your day goes better today. I just got a small divot in my windscreen and the insurance company insisted on the epoxy fix (?) since it was smaller than a quarter. I'm not sure you can cover your chip breaks with even several hundred dollar bills.

Harvey, Heinrich has two in his garage that he has been stashing on the contingency of needing them on one of his fleet.
