New Workshop manuals now available $229
#48
Tried my local OPC to see if they can get these new cheaper sets - still want £500 (nigh on $1000 bucks) at the moment. Looks like I will have to swallow the postage to the UK. Can you give me a rough idea of how much that would be Jim?
Thanks

BTW, even if you have a fully updated hard copy of the WSM's, it's still worth writing to jim928 AT PTD.net to get his CD version, imo.
Jim has included a lot of other cool stuff that, by itself, is worth the extremely modest price.

If anyone is going to SITM this weekend, it might be worth calling Jeannie NOW and buying a set of manuals to be picked up there - that would make it $215 and no shipping (those things are heavy!)

Perhaps I'm being overly sensitive to this issue - but it just rubs me the wrong way when another vendor jumps into an existing topic to sell the same wares.
Wally (and Marc), in the future feel free to start your own product sale topic. Thank you.

Yep Randy, it does seem that your first inclination was the correct one.....you are being overly sensitive.......Many of us have a "favorite" vendor, so the thread jumping is just an efficient way of letting us all know who has what.......besides these guys cannot be getting rich on selling these manuals......I really see no harm in letting them all "gang-on" one thread, 'specially since they have been so civil to eachother here.......
Just my opinion though.....

OK then I should add an opinion also. I think no harm at all was intended by Susan. But I strongly believe vendors should stay the heck out of each other's threads unless it's friendly banter. Competition, ESPECIALLY AT LOWER PRICES, is not IMHO a good idea within a thread.
