Likely around 4-5 hours, but this is one of the EASIER repair jobs on a shark as a DIY!

Greg has several good "how-to's" http://www.nichols.nu/tips.htm

Very easy compared to the TB/WP change. As a DIY it took me about 8 hours because I was **** cleaning everything in site, but saved me over a grand.

If you're looking at doing it in a couple of weeks I can probably get my step-by-step how to written with the 100+ pics I took of the whole procedure.

Let me know if you plan to DIY and I'll get it written up asap.

John, I'm planning on going into my clutch at some point this summer and would love to see your write-up. No need to hurry, just letting you know the info will be appreciated when you get it done.

Don't forget John's "How Not to Do a Clutch Job" in pictures http://members.rennlist.com/jeifert/DD-CLUTCH-REP.html

It's actually not too horrible a job, especially if you have help from a 928 buddy. The main problem is that the assembly is so heavy, so an extra pair of hands is invaluable.

One thing I did (especially when putting the assembly back in) was to put a piece of wall molding I had laying around on top of my floor jack to keep from tearing anything up. I placed the assembly on top of that and jacked it up into the bell housing almost all the way, rotated the clutch/pressure plate to make the locator pins match, then jacked it up until the bolt holes all lined up and popped those suckers in.

I'm still working on my CV joints, but I'll get my notes together and try and get them in the computer before the weekend when you start your clutch.
