Default '86.5 vs '87 S4

Aside from the body work, and the intake manifold with the flappy valve, are there significant differences to expect when I get the '87 next week? They are both automatic trans cars.

The '86 starts in 1st gear is it true that all of the S4's do not? Anything else "unusual" to expect?

In theory at least automatic gearbox in S4 should withstand more abuse as it has larger torque converter. Other than that there isn't that much difference between '86.5 and '87.

Yes, most of the '87s I've seen start in 2nd, but as you probably know there are ways around it.

I thought the combustion camber was in the cylinder in '86 and in the head in '87?

Different heads, part of the reason for the significant hp increase. You should notice that

Maybe too much camber resulting in combustion.... or maybe a typo for combustion chamber
