Do you have grey-green interior (option code XJ) and want touch-up color? Now could be the time, I have sent the old leather of my steering wheel and gear lever to Colorplus. At least this will save you to send in your own leather (although mine was a bit faded). You might contact Joanne there to see if she can make you a can as well!
For the replacement leather I chose a darkish gray color, and I sent her a square foot sample of which she is matching the grey-green color to.
I have been very impressed by their Soffener leather care product, and trust the color will have the same quality!
No affiliation etc.

I just recently re-stiched and re-finished this greyish-green wheel:

I used SEM products which were color matched to my interior. I did not prep the surface prior to stiching, which is the preferable way to do it, because I use a grey scuff pad to prep and that will damage the threads if they are in place. I used a Preval sprayer to shoot the dye. I am about to start another wheel and to dye my pod, glove box door and console to match my new-old-stock factory dash, which should be fun.

Great news! Does anyone have a line on replacement carpet in the original grey-green color? I desparately need a driver's side piece and (potentially) mats.

Better later than never, but at least the project is well underway. The steering wheel and gear lever has got new leather on it (from a local upholstry shop). The steering turned out absolutely perfect with identical stiching to original. The gear lever is still a bit "flimsy" and bulky, but I guess the new leather "settle" a bit over time and become more flexible. I also need to condition it after a while.
I colored it with "Surflex" from Colorplus, they did a 98.9% color-match to my old steering and gear leathers. I made sure JoAnne there kept the formula in case others should want it.
For application I simply painted it on with a brush; for the gear that was perfect but for the steering where the leather is stretched and smooth it is preferable to dilute it slightly and rather use a small spray gun.
The result is beautiful, not only with new leather but perfect color as well. The pic is not so great but meant to illustrate it!
Remaining now is seat bolsters which are slightly worn (you can just about see it on the below picture) - I consider what to do, but will most likely give it a go with conditioner / sand paper / new colour.
Now - do someone have grey-green pinstripe cloth for the rear seats they are willing to part with...? 18 years in hot climate have made them rather brittle and it splits apart only by the slightest touch.

I have a local guy I gave the gry-grn formula to who mixes it for me
$20 pint
the green carpet is a whole other ballgame... I don't believe you can get original replacement anymore, so we may be on our own as far as getting some matched.. I am interested in ANY carpet pieces in good condition

I am definitely interested in some of that pinstripe cloth for the seats. I have another pair of grey-green seats that have worn bolsters. I plan to re-upholster them in cloth inserts-vinyl bolsters, and that cloth in grey-green is perfect. Cloth seating areas is so much more comfortable both in winter and summer. If you find a source for that cloth, please post here again. I think Germany is the place to search for it. When I get some time, I will search there. In the meantime, I am nursing the leather seats in the car until the others can be re-upholstered.
