My 86.5' gained 29 rwhp with our version 2, 27 rwhp with Louie's. Soon to test the version 3.......(If I can get Dr. Gas off their collective ***'s!)

Dave when do you figure a version of any kind would be available?

I too am ready to buy a system for my 85 .....but nothing is available.

I'd like an x pipe that would bolt to the stock manifolds and then either dual 2.5 inch out or a single 3.5 inch, but that would probably be better suited to a merge collector instead of an X since you are going back down to one pipe.

I'd even go the header route if need be, but no one has anything on the shelf ready to go.

For all of the discussons which have been held on this topic you would think that there would be a ready source. Very frustrating.

Someone needs to make an availability/In-stock announcement soon.

Anyone know if MSDS or Devek headers ready to ship without delay?

Called Devek yesterday and spoke with Scott, they did not have any headers in stock, I've e-mailed them and asked for a heads up when they have a supply.

I am interested in headers as well as X-pipe with high flow cats.

Barring the possibility of a group-buy, I will very patiently wait until they are properly marketed by our favorite vendors.

In the bang for you buck catagory....X-pipe (cat delete for max power) and RMB are the fastest way to improve sound and gain some HP. Of course headers/Xpipe-highflow cat-full custom exhaust (2.5 dual or 3.5 single) & RRFPR is the way to go! Should be good for 40+hp! Bummer is installing the headers is labor intensive ($$$).

Yes. But, it about time I do something more complicated than bolting on a RMB, swapping chips, and replacing plugs, wires & rotors.

I haven't done any "Real" work yet so do not yet have that manly-man's sense of accomplishment. I am afraid that doing the X wouldn't be difficult enough to satisfy. Headers probably would.

85's/86's are a bit of o' bugger (does that make them a BOOB?) for lots of HP stuff/not just exhaust... a few issues w/routing that make'em unique, and so IMO, custom is really the best/only way to go beyond the cat/xpipe/header sections on our ***** (kinda rolls off the tongue, eh?)...

IIRC, my devek L2 stuff came in after only 2 weeks, complete w/jet hot coating... but the xpipe/random cat section took 3 mos., mostly due to them "re-discovering" the cat back section had issues w/clearing the batt box vs the S4 and later u-boats (see carl - they all have cute pet names)...

guess they should've read the rennlist 1st, as I'd warned them repeatedly only to hear "we do this for a living, don't worry"... think they had a staffing issue w/fabrication that didn't help much either at the time (now resolved, I think)

however, the headers do look quite nice, as does the 3" cat/x section... I'll have to fab up the rest once I get the motor in, but I don't think it's too bad as the US 32V M44 model had dual 2.25" to begin with...

also had the big single pipe rmb 2:1 cat back replacement from 928 SP before - never fit quite right as it was designed for later cars (muff section was a bit lower than I liked, but ok most of the time)...

w/only chips, the 2:1 thing and a decent tune it would break loose and smoke the 16/225 rears (cold Pilots) at sea level, going into 2nd w/a stock AT... sorry, no dyno stuff but it wouldn't do that before so it seems safe to say it gave my BOOB a decent boost (ha! a BOOB job!)

beyond that - the HP game seems to quickly get more and more complicated - NOS/FI/custom rebuild... not sure it's made me feel like a manly man as much as a rennlist junkie - trying to figure out how to keep my BOOB out of trouble (good thing I don't have 2!! then, uh oh never mind)
