Sad Sight
Last Saturday, west of Edmonton, Canada on highway 16 I saw a grey 928 Strosek in the ditch. I was heading the opposite direction on divided highway pulling a trailer so I couldn't easily turn around and stop. There was no one near the vehicle and with the amount of traffic, if it had just happened, some or many would have stopped. I returned in the opposite direction about an hour and a half later and the car had been pulled out by a two truck to the parallel service road. No owner in sight...only the tow truck operator.
The roads had been icy and snow covered over night due to a light snowfall and temperature hovering around freezing. I suspect the car suffered some damage as it took out a couple of fence posts and the ditch would be pretty rough for the car's clearance. Who knows how much damage the tow truck operator did getting it out. It hadn't rolled though.
I'm pretty sure this is a car I looked at a year ago for sale. How many of them can there be in this frozen northern region!
Sad to see.
