Default Pod Repair Update 2

Update 2 - previous thread https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/199312-pod-repair-1st-attempt-update-1-a.html
small setback over the weekend
I decided to do some temp testing.. put the pod under heat lamps
at 200+ degrees the patch started to peel out... not sure if:
a) the fiberglass was coming apart or
b) the finish material (texture, dye) was the problem
so I took another pod and repaired it using a similar fiberglass resin but with kevlar incorporated in the jelly ... didn't do any texturing or dyeing..
put it under the lamps today for 2 hours at about 200 degrees... patch stayed in place no problems.. so it seems the dye and/or texturing may be an issue in EXTREMELY hot conditions.. I could barely touch the pod it was so hot, but it held so I'll have to talk to SEM tomorrow and see what they say

all in all... good progress, now I just need a big freezer to try the other extreme
I also am testing 2 other patch products to see the results they bring me and will update on those later in the week

Is the dye/texture intended to stick to hard resin? Most leather/vinyl dyes only stick well to those types of surfaces.
