Default 8" H4 disassembly

Is it possible to seperate the glass portion of an (euro) H4 lense from the metal back section?
I have a set lying here with a little flaking of the silver inner paint. Not sure what type of bonding agent was used to attach the two halves.

I had 1 lens that the seal went on and it fell off, I resealed it, but I need to get the other off as there is moisture in it and would like to reseal it as well

The 22 oz. framing hammer in Mikes first post looks like a "lite-BFH" to me - just about right for "lights": It is difficult to maintain the required finesse on this delicate job when over-tooled with a two handed BFH ....
