Default How to unplug power mirror?

Hi,

I'm about to replace the seal against the door for the drivers side rear view mirror.

When I remove the mirror from the door, it is still attached through the wires for the power mirror, and I can tot see where to unplug it.

Do I pry off the mirror (glass plate) itself, to get to a connector, or do I have to tear the door panel off?

Pry off the glass - gently with a flexible putty knife. It is held in place with 3 friction posts.

rOTATE THE GLASS horizontally (as though trying to see yourself in the mirror whilst seated in car), and the outside edge will almost clear the body of the mirror housing, and you will be able to get a blade behind the glass. Be careful not to drop it! put something soft on the ground underneath! Pry the folded metal pins out of the movement plate, then you can remove the mechanism and disconnect it.
