Default I have to share this because I am feeling so guilty.

I have to share this because I am feeling so guilty.

I picked up my new sub woofer grill yesterday....

...and went to work on it.....

I still have to get the inside center (mounting surface) cut out so that it is has clearance all the way to the sides.

When I put in the new slightly raised rear deck and carpet it, it will be level with the rim. It should look fab.... but the guilt!

Cool idea. Another thing somebody should try is fake up a jet turbine thingy and use that as a grill. Kind fo batmobile-esque.

If there are four more complete wheels like that on the car, then feel no guilt - all you are doing is carrying a partial spare.
If you are driving on mere turbo-twists, and have discombooberated a 3-pc wheel for a sub frame - you do need therapy!

Used to see the flat cooling fans off the Porsche 917 race cars
on Ebay. That would make for an interesting grille.
Not centered on chassis and a little far back but close enough
to a mid-engine placement.

You do know they have spinner covers for subs now. Back to the shop. I want to see it spin as they bass pumps through it. To a thief it will look like you are carrying a spare tire.
