I've search around somewhat unsuccessfully to find a right rear marker light bulb assembly for an 86.5 928. I've been having problems with tail light failure, and haven't been able to clean the current socket to my satisfaction.

Note, I do not need the lense, just the piece of metal that holds the bulb and the wires . I think all the water spray from living in a rainy climate has ruined it beyond repair.

If someone could point me in a direction as to where to purchase this item it would be a great help.

Yeah I couldn't find one on the 928intl.com website, and that's where I buy everything. The only thing showing, at least in the picture, was the lense. I'll probably just give them a call though, I'm sure they have it.

I think you have to buy the whole harness, which is quite pricey--$120 - $180 IIRC

The housing and sockets are all one part 78-86 the lense is a separate part . The 87> S-4 lights the sockets are part of a taillight harness and separate from the one piece taillight/ lens assembly .

the worst part is you can not change the light housing 78-86 without removing the rear bumper cover Porsche fixed that with the S-4 ...... Bwebb I have seen replacement sockets rodent engineered into an old housing it was not pretty but it did light up ! We have good used housings 78-86 with out lens for only $25. The OH Crap is not the money but the time to swap it out !
