We just got in a 1978 euro car with euro H4 headlights. Kind of an interesting car. Green with green plaid interior and never federalized. 29k km but has been sitting outside for many years so lots of sun damage to the interior.
$125 ea on the lights.

The Euro H-4 is the big flat 8 inch light that the car was designed to use in the first place. The 7 inch lights and chrome trim rings were a cruel joke played on the "stupid Americans with stupid laws" the 85 MPH speedometer another example
I recently picked a pair of these from 928 Intl and they absolutely are the BEST thing I have done so far to my car! Better than the RMB, better than Autothority chips because the car now looks like it was supposed to (and illuminates like it was supposed to). Those damn chrome trim rings just didn't work at all...
my $0.02 of course!
my $0.02 of course!

I had the Euro H-4's on my previous 928S (86.5) & they are far and away the best lights I have ever had on a car. The H-5's on my S4 literally pale in comparison... this is VERY tempting.
thanks for the kind offer Jim - I just wanted to let someone know that if they've ever considered the H4's, they can't beat this offer compared to new ones...
and I could go on and on about those fugly chrome trim rings...

Did I mention that those chrome rings are PLASTIC
chrome plated PLASTIC ........the ONLY chrome on a 79-95 928 (78s had chrome door lock bezels). And you wonder why they look so out of place so much like an AFTERTHOUGHT .... the DOT laws made the 8 inch H-4 Euro not legal Porsche HAD to use 7 inch seal beam lights like an old Chevy truck but what to do with that big gap around the 7 inch light.....Americans like chrome, plastic how about a plastic chrome filler ring ...........good idea.

I've got to add my "Just do it!" to the H4s, too. The lighting pattern is truly a step up. I still think it's cool every time I roll up to the garage doors and see such a well defined pattern instead of the old "fuzzy blob" pattern.

Definately a worth while upgrade/retrograde. Last year I "bit the bullit" so to speak and bought a set for each of my cars, had to buy new ones as there wasn't any used/half priced ones laying around.
