Transmission Slipping

Since acquiring the 928 last year, it has always slipped in 1st gear when going downhill, i.e., no engine braking. Otherwise, seemed okay.
This weekend, ran the car after sitting dead in the garage for two months. When we took it out onto the highway, it felt like I was going over a washboard during hard accelerations. While at first puzzled, it occurred to me that I have some slipping bands. The A22 troubleshooting guide seems to narrow the problem to the bands.
Does anybody know of any magic additive to stop the slipping? And failing that, has anybody tightened/adjusted (or know how) the B1 and B2 bands?

Glad to hear you got it running!
Is it possible you are developing more power now and it has caused this previously hidden problem to rear it's head?
(If you don't want to bring it to us......) Chick's transmission will take care of you. They know their stuff on the Mercedes transmissions. Ask for Tom? (not sure if that's his name) and tell them who sent you.

Dave:
Now that I have become extremely knowlegeable with K-Jetronics, I would like to think that is the case. A thought that has occurred to me is that one or two of the injectors were leaking due to leaks in the distributor itself which were in turn was causing the high fuel consumption - 11 mpg! We've only run it about 20 miles, so don't know if the consumption has changed.
Also, when Garrity said the CIS was easily prone to flooding, he was absolutely right. Lars pointed out that the oil on the dip stick was awfully clear. Draining the crankcase yielded at least 4 gallons - shot right past the pan onto the floor. I'm there was more misplaced liquid in the exhaust pipe as well given that it took 10 minutes of running to clear out the smoke, etc., exiting the pipe.

Level is ok. Couple thousand miles on the since last complete drain & fill. Thought I would do a simple drain & refill with some magic additive, otherwise will probably drop the pan and valve assembly & see what I can do with the bands.
