I need tranny work and was hoping to do it myself. I'm looking for some manuals or guidance and was wondering if this item would be able to help dissassemble and reassemble a tranny. i appreciate any advice. thanks.

84 euro S. i emailed the ebayer selling it, and expected him to just say yes its all i need since he's trying to sell it, but he sent me an e-mail saying no, it's not enough info. anyone know where i can get some detailed info on the 5 speed tranny? thanks.

 

Workshop Manuals and PET are probably the best place to start

 

The only manuals I've seen on the 5 spd is for '85 and up transmission. I've yet to see a training manual on the earlier 5 spds. Looks like the shop manual is your best bet.

As they said, WSM is more complete than what's for sale at eBay. And '84 should have older type box with totally different syncros etc.
