I haven't looked under the shark for a drain hose, but you can always blow alittle compressed air up the drain hose if it gets clogged to unclog it. Also works great for the sunroof drain holes.
The suggestion was to use fluid and something like a plastic cord from a weedeater to probe it clean.

Okay, I found a product that works similarly that shoots up the drain hose to clean the evaporator. I dont know if the heater core is in the same box or not, but if it is then it would clean both units.

Just to give you an example of the efficiency gains with cleaning out any heat/chiller exchanger.
The condenser on my van was blocked with road debris and bugs. With an ambient of 95F (measured in front of the condenser) the vent temperature (full A/C with engine at 3000rpm) was not any better than 55F.
Cleaned the condenser with compressed air from the rear. Temp at vent was improved to 43F.
On the highway at 65mph for at least 10 mins it now goes down to 38F.
Well worth the work.
I will be doing all my cars when I get back from vacation.
By the way my van has 42k and is 3 tears old, imagine the 928's with many more years of use and crud.
