how to determine gine type of Euro 928?
I have this Euro car, and there is some confusion in my mind over what model year it really is, and which engine it has in it.
The paperwork on the car indicates that it is an '81 - the chassis number is 92A821026 - I don't see anything indicating a WPZZZ number anywhere on the car or in the documentation that came with it.
There is a ID plate under the hood, near the latch, that has the aforementioned VIN and the "928 11" designation - where can I check this on the engine itself?

the engine stamp will be just forward of the plenum look down on the pass side
should say M28/?? this will determine the engine 4.5l or 4.7l and whether it is a Euro or US block
