How does the aux. pulley connect to the crank?

Default How does the aux. pulley connect to the crank?

Is there a spacer between the aux. belt pulley and crank? thanks

Don't know what year or if there's a difference, but here's the manual pic. Hope it helps.

Great to have the correct picture!!
No spacer present. Install the components in the order shown. The script on the balancer must be 'right - side - up' read when facing the engine. Clamping washer #8 MUST be installed with the chamfered outer rim towards the rad - and the machined inner bore towards the engine: otherwise, all will freely spin even with the correct 215 ft.lbs on the crank bolt.

What is the difference between part numbers 12 and 31 (spacers on either side of the crank gear)? I thought they were the same. The "lip" on those spaces...I assume the lip faces away from the belt, correct?

Yep, they're the same according to the parts catalog. PN 928.102.125.02 - Qty-2. Don't know why they call them out differently in the WSMs.
