Default 85/86 Stage 2 SUPERMODEL Kit (Jaguar/Eaton) for sale

As many of you have read, I lost my car in a horrible accident. In order to get behind the wheel of another 928, I think my best option right now is to get as much money together as possible from my smashed 86.5.

Stragely enough, I think the most valuable single part of my car is the supercharger kit. Andy has offered to take my kit and freshen it up so it can be sold:

He will be selling the SC. He is going to send it to me and I am going to check it out, bring it up to current specs and then ship it to the buyer. Pretty much all the SC parts besides the SC, Manifold, Inlet, and Bypass Valve, will be new. It will be sold as a 85-86 Stage 2 setup.
Just so you guys know, I've run this kit for a while and have NEVER had a problem with the kit itself. All of the problems i've ever had on my car have been strange electrical bugs or my starter/alternator going out. I have no doubt that when properly installed, this kit is rock-solid stable. I have 3 separate dyno charts that have proved this car to make 311rwhp @ 4PSI, and 337rwhp/345rwhp @ 5PSI. The 5PSI run was done with some minor ignition advance, but I highly doubt anymore than 5-6 additional rwhp was realized from this.

I am asking $3,600 for this kit. I wish I could accept partial trades, but I need the cash more than anything else right now.

Also, I haven't forgot about anyone who has sent me PMs. I have them all gathered and have began taking pictures of the parts requested (hopefully can get some pics sent out today).

It will be sold as a 85-86 Stage 2 setup. To put it on an 87+ you wll need an 85-85 throttlebody ($100-$200), 85-86 regulator ($85.00), and FMS 30 $219. Or you could run it as a Stage 1 system and won't need the regulator or injectors.
Help Mike get a new car, buy his kit.

I'd like to add that I will sell my injectors with this kit for an additional $150. They are in known good working condition and have less than 8K miles on them. Brand new, these things go for about $219+tax/ship from summit.

Mike... instead of a windshield for the car that doesn't need one... those funds will go towards your new purchase when you are ready.

They are 24# injectors. Since this is a non-intercooled application and you won't be making more than 350rwhp, they're a good match.

I'd also like to add that if anyone near me decides to purchase this kit, I will provide some assistance with the installation (assuming you live in the area).

Mike/Andy, I am very interested in buying the kit from you guys. I have two 86.5 cars as you can see below and have been considering installing one ever since I saw Tony's in Las Vegas. I probably will not install it until this fall as I want to track the manual trans car without it to learn how to drive it (all tack experience has been with the auto so far and I will be selling it in June). Please send me a PM with approximately how many mile are on the kit, injector rate, intercooler, ... thanks.

Everyone,
To be clear, this kit belongs to Mike. All funds will go to him. It will be as if you were buying a used part/product from anyone. As I mentioned I am going to check it out, bring it up to current specs and then ship it to the buyer. That will be my only role in the sale. I will support my propritary parts, as they were new after the sale. The SC unit will be considered used and "as is"

I just checked the supermodel site and the price for this kit went up, to almost $4 grand. Wow, didn't they just sell last month for $3400 plus a 10% discount at devek event day, for a total of $3150? Are there more parts included with this new price increase or better engineering? Or maybe its inflation, I don't really know how much inflation has hit the auto parts industry yet.

Sold - Thanks for answering all my questions Andy/Mike.
Looks like a few trips to the dyno are in order before installation.

Mark,
You are welcome.

I guess smart buyers would have bought one then, "get while the gettin's good".
I finally sat down to figure out just how much this whole deal has cost me. After selling 20+ kits I am still tens of thousands of dollars in the hole. It cost me well over $500.00 more than what I have charged for each kit to ship it. Simple maths shows that I should be profiting, but not. I don't mind working for free. I've worked 3-4000hrs on this at no charge. I can't continue to loose money though. If there are complaints about the new pricing I 'll continue to raise the price untill the bargain hunters will no longer even consider my system. I'm honestly not too crazy about selling them anymore as I can't even find time to play with my own projects. I only have 2-3 more sets of pullies. Once those are gone, I may only sell in batches or not at all.

The point here was to help Mike out, getting a discount on the kit was secondary. Just wanted to make sure that everything was going to work as Andy intended it to and having it shipped to Andy to spec out works for me.

Andy, do I have to wait to install the intercooler to get one of those pullies since you only have a few left? I promise I won't put it on until I buy the IC from you. Blowing my engine is the last thing I want to do.
