when it rains heavy and my car is left out i get some water in two areas -- 1.the sunroof drips and 2. the hatch area.
anyone with the same problem ???

Sounds like blocked sunroof drains. There are four drains holes for the sunroof, one in each corner. They can be seen when the sunroof is opened. They are about the size of a pencil eraser. Check them for clogs. You can use a water bottle and check to see if they drain. The rear ones are easy to clear, you can use air pressure or a short piece of wire. Be careful with the front ones they have plastic tubes attached that could be dislodged if pushed from the top.

 

drains were checked - work fine.. im wondering if water is seeping thru the seal both hatch and sunroof ??? anybody ever change the sunroof seal mine looks very dried out./// as far as the hatch - the seal seems to be in good shape. my hatch is a little off --maybe thats the problem ??

If drains are fine then it's the seal. You might try adjusting hatch first and then test for leaks again. My problem was the hatch. Seal looked good so I took it off and put it back on, still leaked. Put new seal on, no leak. Funny?????? anyway, hope this helps.
