Default Racers: 16" BBS rims

If i run a set of 8.5 and 9.5 BBS 3pc. rims for track use with Toyo Proxes RA 1's
should i go with 255/50 fronts[ biggest avail] and 245/45-16 rears? or use the 255's on the front also? [ with the smaller 8.5"]
Any body with experience with 16's on the track?
I would like to have 18's but at this point the 16's are available at a good price and the engine is going to be stock for awhile and as i'm just building the car there's lots of development to be done so i , figure when i get the big boys i can use the BBS's with my rain rubber.

Hi Darrin,

When I started racing my 928 in stock class in PCA club racing, I ran 245 Hoosiers on 8.5 BBS wheels all the way around. More rubber would be better of course.

I do use the BBS wheels now for rain tires now, still with 245s on them. I would be willing to sell them, if anyone has any interest....

Stan, thanks ,though at this point i am questioning the wisdom of using the 16's.I can't seem to find a set of 17 or 18' rims to fit the 928 that are light, eg. not cup rims, and that are cheap...I,ve got a budget and man i'm doin my best to stick to it!
