The Panasonic unit I installed is Model# CQ-C3300V in the brown/bronze color. It's great because I can fit about 9 CDs on one in WMA or MP3 format (192kbps rate) and I don't need a separate power amp. Sounds fantastic. I'll post a pic of it istalled if I get a chance tonight. There are several on eBay for around $130 with shipping. Here's one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

The speakers are Lightning Audio 4" 90Wrms. They are poly cones instead of paper so they should last awhile (but who could complain about the 18 years the original ones have lasted so far). They are the best sounding speakers in the car now. $24.97 at Walmart.

John - above and beyond the call - thank you very much for the information! Let's hope the PO was a smart one!

I pulled my speaker wires out today to re-route them because they were visible when the passenger door is opened. When I did this, I found the PO had bypassed my amp and put different color wires in.

The previous wiring diagram I posted was completely wrong since the colors weren't even close to what Porsche used after the amp. I have re-done the diagram to reflect the correct wiring colors for each speaker set.

I also found an additional connector for an antenna booster that is connected to the regular antenna wire. That's included in my previous post with the speaker connections.

Hope it helps!
